About Asian Yummy
Chinese food & sushi & hibachi
Asian Yummy is a chinese restaurant in York, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1500 N George St #15, York, PA 17404, which places it among the local businesses of York that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in York; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Pennsylvania are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 1 day a week. Typical hours are 12β10 PM. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Asian Yummy at (717) 852-1005; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, asianyummyyork.com.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 285 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

People listen because I kid you not. NJ born and raised and a GenXβer thatβs been living in NC for the past several years. My travels brought me close enough to Asian Yummy to DoorDash a large order of Hot & Spicy Mongolian Beef which was a whole platter by itself and came with the large Qt container of white rice which I changed to Beef Fried Rice, and I ordered a separate large Qt of Beef Fried Rice, Hella Hot Mustard packets, Soy Sauce, Duck Sauce etc. and Spring Rolls. I ate off of the order the next 3 days for three dinner meal times out here in the semi frig & microwave equipped 18-wheeler. And the past 2-3 months Iβve been OTR chasing, ordering the same at several different random Chinese Restaurants in all different cities and theyβre giving me mild spicy beef with peppers and onions with rice all together in a single platter (smh) and for the price of the Hot & Spicy Mongolian Beef theyβre all false advertising on their menus, as if I donβt know the difference. Asian Yummy has really set the bar high, and Iβm actually going through cravings wanting my travels to again get me close enough to DoorDash from Asian Yummy again. The food is 50 Stars worth the price to me, and be

I dont know why but me and my daughter went in to order food. I usually go to giants for Chinese food. I order food walked around a lil bit while waiting for food to be cooked. They have the little quarter machines my daughter who is 2 yrs old wanted a bounce ball. I got her the ball then sat down at the very end table and noticed a cockroach πͺ³ on the table dead. So upset.

ordered door dash, got the mango dragon roll which says its tuna, salmon, mango and topped with mango and eel sauce, my roll ended up coming with tempura shrimp which was not described at all and I could not find the salmon or tuna, it was mediocre. I also got the spicy Kani salad which I wanted to like but the crab stick was hardly shredded and the cucumber was cut very thick and the dressing was so thin and an abundance of it that it ended up all over the bag. The hot and sour soup seemed like it might have been enjoyable but I was already disappointed so I just ended up refrigerating it for later.

Iβve been a regular customer but last night was absolutely ridiculous. We waited almost TWO HOURS for our food with no call, no warning, no apology.. Nothing. Itβs honestly baffling that a business thinks itβs acceptable to keep customers waiting that long without even the basic courtesy of communication (ordered at 6:47 and got delivered at 6:35). The time before this it took almost an hour, which was already a stretch. This was the final straw. Extremely disappointing service.

Absolutely the worst Asian food I've ever had in my life. We ordered LO MEIN NOODLES and they gave my daughter some other flat noodle and the sauce was so gross she wouldn't even eat it. I ordered the orange chicken combo The rice was bland and gross. The chicken was overly sauced and the flavor was gross as well. Waisted $19 .. never ever again in my life.
